CUSTODIANS, LANDSCAPING, GROUNDS AND MAINTENANCE TECHNICIANS

POTENTIAL HIRING AREAS
We are currently accepting applications for potential hires in Chicago, DuPage, Joliet, Mokena and surrounding counties.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Janitors/Custodians/Porters duties include include, but are not limited to:
Responsible for all basic cleaning in and around Blue Fox Cleaning Service client locations.
Cleans floors and rooms: including dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting and spot cleaning glass and windows.
Cleans restrooms, including restocking dispensers, restocking tissues and paper towels, emptying trash, cleaning and sanitizing fixtures, cleaning mirrors, spot cleaning partition doors and walls, sweeping and mopping tile floors, and cleaning toilets and urinals.
Vacuuming, emptying trash, and replacing trashcan liners.
Sets up, stocks, and maintains cleaning equipment and supplies at assigned location.
Monitors and maintains sanitation of assigned areas.
Assists other workers when needed to ensure optimum service to client location.
All duties performed following strict CDC Recommendations for reducing the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
Performs additional duties as needed.

Grounds and Maintenance duties include include, but are not limited to:
Maintain floor surfaces
Carpet and furniture repair
Vehicle maintenance (cleaning and refueling)
Wall washing, painting and repair. A scheduled program of wall washing will be maintained on an annual basis. Spot painting will be done as required. A summer painting program will be developed under the direction of School District #159 Administration.
Miscellaneous Projects.
Minor ceiling repair and replacement on an as needed basis.
Minor repairs of doors in all areas.
Minor electrical and plumbing repairs.
Corrective and preventative maintenance
Mowing, Aeration, Turf Fertilization, Turf Repair, Irrigation, Weed Control, Care of Shrubs and Groundcover, Care of Shrub Beds, Flowers, Tree Care, Athletic Field Lining, Fence Lines and Signage, Field and Landscape Structures, Disposal of Landscape Waste, Refuse Pick Up and Removal,
Paved Surface Care, Project Work/New Installations, Beautification Services, Snow Removal, Landscape Architectural Services.

POSITIONS AVAILABLE
Full Time, Part Time, On Call

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
Attention to detail is a must
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
Highly responsible & reliable
Able to Follow instructions
Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
Knowledge of various cleaning chemicals and supplies
Ability to operate commercial equipment (preferred, not required)
Good knowledge of Material Safety Data Sheets
Integrity and good interpersonal skills
Able to stand for extended periods of time.
Able to move and/or lift at least 5 pounds
Able to complete tasks on time with minimal supervision
Available to work mornings and/or evenings, plus weekends, as needed

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND LICENSING REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
Previous experience a plus
Valid driver’s license
Eligible to work in the United States
Must pass background check and drug screening
Familiarity with the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) preferred
